Totalspace Design is a small South Australian Architectural firm, that brings together a registered Architect, an Interior Designer and a Building Designer/ Project Manager.
The three principals are:
- SARAH PADDICK - Architect (B.Arch (Hons) Registered November 1994)
- DIANA BROWN - Interior Designer (Adv Cert Int Des)
- MICHAEL DODD - Project Manager and Building Designer (Ass Dip Arch Tech)
who met whilst working together for the SA Dept. of Housing & Construction, (now a division of DTEI and formerly the Public Buildings Department.).
In addition to the 3 principals Totalspace design employs 1 Interior Designer:
- Mary Pappas - Interior Designer (B Des Int Des)
And an Office Manager:
The company had it’s infancy in late 1992 when Michael Dodd decided to end his 18 year career with SACON (SA Dept of Housing & Construction) and began canvassing potential clients in anticipation of combining all three directors’ varied range of expertise into an architectural firm.
At the same time, Sarah Paddick and Diana Brown continued their contract work for SACON until June 1994, at which time they joined Michael Dodd and Totalspace Design was born.
Totalspace Design became a registered company in 1995.
After working from a house in Forestville for two years, Totalspace Design moved to its current location at 261a Waymouth Street, Adelaide in November 1996.
This heritage listed building has now been expanded and upgraded, making it suitable as Totalspace Design’s principal place of business for at least the next five years. |
